Thirty years in technology and security, much of it in CIO seats at Digital Realty, Rovi, and Align, with a global transformation journey at Ericsson. I’ve sat through enough board meetings to know which security answers hold up and which ones get rephrased until they sound like progress. I’ve delivered a few of the second kind myself. That’s how I learn.
Those years taught me that enterprise security has a clarity problem. The money is already being spent. Nobody can tell you how efficiently those tools are improving the company’s risk profile.
So, a few colleagues and I founded Accelerynt, an operator-led firm built on the Microsoft security stack, serving CISOs, CIOs, and CFOs at large enterprises. We publish SLAs. Our playbooks are public on GitHub. We are 100% employee-owned. We make our work public so people can check it, which keeps us focused in a way mission statements never did.
I also like running, spending time outdoors, writing the occasional thought, and woeking on a chore list my wife would describe as “aspirational.”
