JOY BELAND is the VP, Partner Strategy and Cyber Education for Summit 7; an MSP based out of Huntsville AL that focuses exclusively on cybersecurity for the Defense Industrial Base. In this role, Joy works with the CMMC ecosystem to align the best and most dedicated partners to bring CMMC expertise to SMBs who service defense contracts. Joy is a Certified CMMC Assessor and Provisional Instructor. She also currently serves as the Vice President of MSPs for the Protection of Critical Infrastructure.
From 1997 to 2018 Joy owned a successful MSP in Los Angeles for 21 years. After successfully selling her practice, Joy served the MSP community as a cybersecurity education instructor, educating 3,000+ on cybersecurity fundamentals throughout the US, England and Australia. Joy moved into CMMC in 2020 when she took on the role of CMMC Training Program Manager and CMMC Assessor at Edwards Performance Solutions.
